Shipwrecked!
Shipwrecked! An Entertainment. University of Virginia- Caplin Stage
Role: Technical Director
This show appeared to be simple at first- fairly straightforward set construction. Two elements popped up that were a bit more unusual- the design called for rough cut lumber, and for two 16 foot long wooden beams to fly in and out during the show in a space without a rigging system. After many phone calls to lumberyards and some practice on some Creative Conners winches, both of those requests became realities.

After the second day of load-in, the top of the platforms are covered with plywood and the railing posts have been installed.

And hey presto, the wheels are getting a rubber tread glued to the rim.
